Yes, it’s goodbye to our Turnbull Cup dreams for another year and here’s hoping we can make up for it in the plate competition, the Wedmore Plate.

We went down on all four rinks last night to an in form Knowle team. At times we looked as if we were still in with a shout, but at the end it was a comprehensive defeat. Our congratulations and best wishes for the next round go to the men from Knowle.

Our captain, Ray Austin, did at least pick up a nice lump of steak in the meat draw held after the game.

So, it’s forward into the Wedmore plate, with our first game on Friday 3rd July.
